Sending habits
Consistency is a signal of quality to inbox providers.
How often do you send campaigns?
Pick the closest match. 6–8×/month is the sweet spot — benchmarks vary by niche and business type.
When did you last clean your list?
Technical setup
Authentication is the foundation of inbox placement — and it sounds scarier than it is.
🔍 Don't know your setup? We can check for you.
Enter your domain and we'll look up your SPF and DMARC records automatically — no login needed.
SPF record Not checked
DMARC record Not checked
We can't auto-check DKIM (it needs your platform's private key info) — answer that one below.
Is DKIM configured?
🔏 DKIM is like a wax seal on a letter. It's a digital signature proving your email wasn't tampered with on its way to the inbox. Check it in your platform → Settings → Domains.
What SPF & DMARC actually do
🧴 SPF — when you hear it you probably think sunscreen. It's actually a list of servers allowed to send email as your domain. It tells inboxes: "these are the only computers allowed to email as me."
📋 DMARC is the rulebook. It tells inboxes what to do if an email fails the SPF or DKIM check — block it, quarantine it, or let it through anyway.
Are you using a dedicated sending domain?
🏠 A dedicated sending domain (like mail.yourstore.com) is a separate "house" for your marketing emails — so if a bad campaign hurts its reputation, your main website domain stays untouched.
Are you on a dedicated sending IP?
📫 A dedicated IP is your own private mailbox address. A shared IP is like an apartment building — your reputation depends on your neighbours too. Most small/mid brands use shared IPs, and that's fine.
IP blacklist check (optional)
Even healthy senders get blacklisted sometimes. Worth a quick check.
🛡 Check your sending IP against major blacklists
Find your IP in your platform's domain settings, or ask your hosting provider. This step is optional — you can skip it.

📅 Blacklists change constantly — an IP can get listed and delisted without warning. We recommend checking at least once every 3 months, ideally monthly if you send high volume. Good news: most listings can be removed once you know how.

⚠️ Benchmarks vary by niche, business type, and audience. This is a quick diagnostic — not a full audit. A 25% open rate can be excellent in one industry and average in another.

Estimated risk check based on your inputs and best-effort automated DNS lookups — not a full technical audit or guaranteed blacklist scan. Benchmarks vary by industry, niche, and business type; use this as a quick starting point, not a definitive verdict.
